Hello and thank-you for visiting my blog! I’m extremely passionate about making sure you have the right information so that you can make the best and most informed choices about your health.

15 years ago, I was fortunate to read a book written by Dr. John McDougall on nutrition and health, and it totally changed my life. Prior to this time, I was completely unaware that my diet and the way I lived my life could have such a profound effect on my health. I was so motivated that I decided to re-educate myself and dedicate my life to helping others get the same information that had such a profound influence on me. And that’s how The Wellness Forum began.

A few classes in my house attracted a following, so I secured a small office in which to offer my classes. Soon, other people wanted to teach my courses, and people in other cities wanted to take them too. Within a very short time, The Wellness Forum was offering classes through certified teachers and distance learning courses throughout the world!

One of the things I love about my career at The Wellness Forum is the diversity of the things I get to do every week – I teach health and wellness classes; I help people to become fit as a yoga teacher and certified personal trainer; I write books; give lectures; regularly appear on radio and television programs; and work on public policy issues like school lunches and legislation at the state and federal level.

I also have lots of interests outside of my work – I am an avid reader and belong to a book club; I love to learn about wine and food and belong to a wine club; I enjoy spending time with friends doing lots of things like eating out and attending cultural events; I have a summer home near Lake Erie that provides me with restful weekends; and I love to travel.

I have two adult daughters who live in Columbus and I live with my cat, Schroeder in Worthington, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. (actually, according to Schroeder, the house is his and he graciously allows me to stay there in order to take care of him!)
